Learning kung fu is an excellent way to foster discipline and mental focus in children. Martial arts can also build character as well as confidence, and your child will have fun while developing both physically and mentally!

Martial arts are about so much more than learning how to kick and punch. At Kung Fu Schools, we understand this, and as such, we place equal emphases on the physical aspects as well as the inner teachings of Chinese Shaolin Kung fu: the cultivation of sound mind, body and spirit Apart from teaching effective self-defence, our class structure builds a strong foundation of discipline and mutual respect. Our lessons instill important life lessons that will stay with students throughout their lives: courtesy, respect, discipline, patience, perseverance, tolerance towards
thers… Our positive and upbeat lessons aim to teach children not only the ABC’s of self-defence, but also the ABC’s of life: Attitude, Behaviour and Character.
At Kung Fu Schools, we believe that the majority of challenges facing a child do not stem from external factors, but from internal issues. More often than not, it is a child’s own self-doubt, fear and a lack of confidence that prevents them from realizing their full potential.
This is why, apart from teaching effective self-defence, we seek to nurture a child’s confidence. Our system of positive rewards acknowledges a child’s achievements and encourages them to aim ever higher. Our students learn to recognize their own strengths and to have faith in their own abilities, thereby boosting their self-esteem and morale.
Your child will learn to have the willpower to say “no” to unhealthy peer pressure, to assert themselves against bullies, and above all else, to face all challenges with firm self-belief and a can-do attitude.
